As a kid, Mr.
SlapstickStuff didn't have access to a camera... or a studio... or cute models.
But he did have a VCR.
SlapstickStuff is pleased to present another video in our ongoing compilation
project to collect the best of the Nickelodeon-era messy clips. This one centers
around arguably the messiest show of the era... and it wasn't even on Nickelodeon!
Nope, FunHouse was its own syndicated creation, a pseudo-knock-off of
Double Dare that went on to mess up more kids of my generation than Marc
Summers ever dreamed...
While I already know I don't have every messy moment lovingly stored
on VHS, I came pretty close with this show! So much show that I compiled two
clips, each running over an hour, and loosely separated into "pies"
and "slime." Part 1 gives you The Pie-athalon, Mystery Boxes, Innocent
Pie-Stander, and a host of folks shoving their faces and heads into glop. (Plus,
the cheerleaders get pied! Not the complete clip, sadly.) Part 2 goes for the
Slop Machine, Dumpo!, Surprise Shower, and many more. (Plus, the cheerleaders
gunged in trash cans!) For completists, these clips also include some of the
later shows on FOX Saturday morning, and for celeb watchers, enjoy messy moments
with young Sara Gilbert, Candace Cameron, and Soleil Moon-Frye (who must've
won some award for getting the most mess of anyone on this show).
Rounding out these clips are a few messy highlights from Salute Your Shorts
(on Part 1) and the messiest bits of Double Dare (Part 2).
